Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer, and Tom Brokaw, of the NBC Nightly News, addressed a capacity crowd estimated at nearly 7,000 attendees at the Partner Pavilion, with an unknown number of people included in an overflow crowd. The preliminaries were conducted by longtime anchor and managing editor of the NBC Nightly News, Tom Brokaw, who examined the rapid changes in technology over the past few years, and dispensed with personal anecdotes.
