San Francisco, California – (via THE HOSTING NEWS) – August 25, 2005 – AT and T and Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. have announced an agreement under which AT and T will provide managed hosting for Konami’s North American online gaming platform.
Konami has established itself as a leading developer and publisher of computer and video games.Under terms of the multi-year agreement, AT and T will host and provide around-the-clock monitoring of Konami’s online gaming platform, which will allow multiple users to play each other in real time over the Internet.
The solution also supports Konami’s business continuity plan by providing automatic data backup and rerouting for the company’s primary data center in Tokyo, Japan.
Daniel Laskowski, Director of the North America Data Center for Konami Digital Entertainment described the new partnership, “AT and T has the reliable, robust infrastructure we need to launch into the online gaming market. AT and T’s numerous locations worldwide provide Konami with future growth possibilities internationally.”
AT and T will host Konami’s gaming platform at its Bay Area Internet Data Center (IDC). AT and T operates 26 IDCs around the world.
