It can also function as a cost effective aggregation point for any of other members of the ISG family.

Hosted Solutions chose the cost-efficient ISG 5000 for the added flexibility it provides in offering customers bandwidth between its data centers. Connectivity using Ethernet is a natural extension of the data center internal fabric (10/100/1000Mb Ethernet) and allows for simplified LAN, flexibility of IP, and reliability of SONET connections. To meet Hosted Solutions’ needs, the ISG 5000 was equipped with OC-12c modules for the WAN and GigE Modules feeding routers.
