partners in Germany and France. In January 2005, MIVA announced it would begin
to provide algorithmic search functionality to its publishing partners leveraging
its licensing agreement with Fast Search and Transfer(TM) (FAST(TM)).

include links to Formula 1 racing news in the search results provided to its
audience, since ”Michael Schumacher” is a leading Formula 1 race car
driver. In contrast, a website dedicated to film and movies might instead include
web links to movie reviews and details about film director Joel Schumacher for
the very same search term. This assures that the algorithmic web search provided
on each site reflects the unique interested of its end users.
