Overture Networks will unveil and showcase a new software feature called L2+ Classification for its ISG product family at Globalcomm. L2+ Classification promises to unlock the true value of multi-services and combine this value with the operational expenditure savings of Ethernet access. Using a rules-based interface, providers can map ToS/DSCP and VLANs into priorities recognized by Ethernet transport networks, while also manipulating the VLAN tags used to segregate traffic in such networks. Hands- on demonstrations of this innovative software feature along with the entire ISG product suite will be available in the company's booth #17048 on the trade show floor.
Overture Networks will also be participating in various sponsorship activities, to increase awareness for itself, its partners and its products through pre-show mailings and customer outreach programs on the show floor.
Headquartered in North Carolina's high-tech center, Research Triangle Park, Overture Networks has assembled a veteran team with extensive experience delivering edge solutions to carriers and enterprises - experience rooted in IP, Ethernet, and TDM technologies and dedicated to the specific problems metro service providers face in a hybrid packet/circuit world. The company's ISG products are converged packet access platforms that, according to the company, can deliver multiple managed services over any network infrastructure to any customer location at the customer edge.
