Uden, Netherlands – (The Hosting News) – February 9, 2006 – A new product application introduced today attempts to cut back on the huge cost to organizations related to sorting, selecting and answering email.
The technique used by the new application, entitled Emaildome, is that an amount of money is linked to a response time: a longer response time is free of charge; for a faster response time, the sender would have to pay. According to the company, this process will significantly increase customer satisfaction and decrease the costs of inbound email traffic.
The sender of the email message determines the priority with which his mail is handled instead of the company or the organization that delivers the service or product.
Tim Wijnen, CEO of Emaildome.com explained, ”Paying money to get your email answered, it seems like the other way around. But actually it is very logical. Many people think it is normal to pay for calling an information number, so why wouldn’t you do the same to get a prompt and dedicated answer to your email?”
Emaildome is a patented web-based application and works as follows: a company indicates which email addresses Emaildome has to “handle.” Inbound emails sent to one of these email addresses will get an automatic answer on behalf of the company. In this reply, the sender gets the choice: if he wants a prompt answer, he has to pay; if he is willing to wait a couple of days to get an answer, it is free of charge. Payment can be done by SMS, credit card, prepaid or 0900 number.
Once the email sender has defined which service level (1 hour, 4 hours, 1 day, 5 days or free choice) he wants and when the payment is done, the original email is forwarded to the company. With the coding that Emaildome generates, the company knows how fast the message has to be answered. The overload of incoming electronic letters is a major cost for many companies. Employees lose a lot of time opening, reading, evaluating and answering these emails.
A complicating factor is often the very vague question in the email. According to the company, Emaildome puts an end to this: ”If you want a clear answer, and you pay for it, you will also ask a clear question,” said Mr. Wijnen. That makes it easier to answer them. ”The company receiving the emails is freed from any unsolicited emails and will profit through the kickback fees.”
The big advantage for the customer is that he has the guarantee to receive an answer within the desired time limit. Eventually, the sender will get value for the money and the recipient will get the money for his service. Emaildome focuses primarily on companies and organizations such as banking and insurance companies, Internet service providers, telephone companies, energy suppliers and etailers, including the government as a target group. Consumers themselves can deploy the Emaildome service free of charge when for instance they put an ad on Ebay.
Through Emaildome the seller knows that the buyer is really interested because he’s required to pay in order to contact the seller.
