Englewood, Colorado – (The Hosting News) – May 8, 2009 – Developer of near-continuous data protection products for Linux and Windows, R1Soft, has welcomed provider of web hosting, NEXCESS.NET, in its deployment of Continuous Data Protection (CDP) technology for its customers and internal systems.
David Wartell, vice president of R1Soft, a division of BBS Technologies, Inc. noted, ”The deployment of R1Soft CDP will be a great addition to NEXCESS.NET’s already superior services. Their clients can now have peace of mind that their mission-critical data has been safely backed up and is available for quick restoration in the event of a disaster.”
R1soft’s CDP technology allows for highly-efficient disk-based backups and includes features like bare-metal restores, centralized administration of backups and excellent cross-platform capabilities. CDP will allow us to more easily make backups of both Linux and Windows based servers.
NEXCESS.NET has integrated the R1soft CDP software into its existing backup strategy for Window-based dedicated servers. The company is evaluating whether to additionally offer it to Linux-based dedicated hosting customers as an optional add-on.
In 2006, R1Soft released the first Continuous Data Protection software for Windows and Linux. It was designed around the high performance needs of web hosting and data centers. R1Soft CDP software is now protecting over 100,000 mission critical Windows and Linux servers world-wide
Founded in 2003, R1Soft is a provider of disk-based backup solutions. The company’s customer list includes some of the world’s largest hosting providers.
