London, United Kingdom – (The Hosting News) – March 21, 2006 – International law firm, Denton Wilde Sapte, has signed a co-location hosting contract with Telstra Corporation Limited’s hosting service, in conjunction with its partner Comunica Ltd.
Denton Wilde Sapte recently moved from two London office sites to one and took the opportunity to review its IT infrastructure. As part of the move the firm decided to upgrade its IT infrastructure and replace its in-house Disaster Recovery solution with a specialist hosting solution from Telstra Europe.
The firm has taken 82 square metres of Co-location space at Telstra Europe’s Docklands site and has the capacity to add further servers to its private suite as its data storage requirements evolve. Denton Wilde Sapte will benefit from the reduced costs of not having to maintain its original in-house Disaster Recovery solution, improved security by having its mission critical data hosted off-site and superior levels of service and flexibility, such as the provision for scalable levels of bandwidth as required.
Neil Pamment, Director of IT Services at Denton Wilde Sapte commented, ”Improved data security and ease of access were fundamental considerations in choosing to outsource the firm’s data centre to Telstra Europe. We now have Disaster Recovery capabilities that are more robust, an IT infrastructure that is more efficient, enabling us to work safe in the knowledge that our mission critical data is housed in first class, state of the art facilities. Telstra Europe understood our business needs and addressed them in a short deadline which greatly impressed us.”
The contract is being deployed in conjunction with Comunica Ltd which, as a member of Telstra Europe’s channel accreditation programme, receives dedicated support that enables it to seamlessly provide its clients with a Co-location hosting facility that compliments Comunica Ltd’s IT Service offering. Telstra Europe worked closely with Comunica Ltd using its ”Sell With” partnership model which also enabled Denton Wilde Sapte to benefit from a flexible and rapid service with direct access to Telstra Europe specialists whenever required.
Rick Marshall, Managing Director of IT Service Provider Comunica Ltd added, ”As part of our consultancy role we identified that a managed hosting centre best fitted the needs of our client Denton Wilde Sapte. We recommended Telstra Europe due to their depth of experience and enlightened ”Sell With” approach. Telstra Europe was able to support us with its product experts to help develop a suitable proposition for Denton Wilde Sapte and they provided easy access to technical and after-sales support throughout the whole process, which has been to the mutual benefit of all parties involved.”
David Thorn, CEO of Telstra Europe concluded, ”The legal profession, like all UK professional services firms, is under considerable business and regulatory pressure and the protection and security of their client information is critical. Telstra Europe is delighted to be working with Denton Wilde Sapte to help it meet its data management challenges.”
