Alviso, California – (The Hosting News) – December 1, 2005 – Digital video recording pioneer, TiVo Inc., has rolled out a host of new online services that deliver entertainment and information directly to the television set. The new services mark an expected cross-pollination of Yahoo! and TiVo expertice.
TiVo subscribers with a TiVo Series2 digital video recorder (DVR) connected to their home network will be able to access local movie listings and tickets, discover music, listen to podcasts, and even view shared Yahoo! Photos. Users can also check their local traffic and weather by using their TiVo remote.

Starting today TiVo will begin the rollout to subscribers with a broadband-connected Series2 DVR. The new features are included as part of the standard TiVo service. TiVo has partnered with leaders in broadband services, like Yahoo!, Fandango, and Live365 to ensure the best content as well as the ease and convenience subscribers expect from the TiVo service.

— Browse movie information in the living room to discover what’s playing at local theaters and buy advance tickets from Fandango, the nation’s largest movie ticketing service.
— Discover great new music on Live365, the largest Internet radio network, offering hundreds of stations in every genre and format, new and old, from all over the world.
— Listen to thought-provoking and entertaining talk shows with the new Podcast feature.
