Web hosting and managed services firm, Verio, has improved the site structure of its viaVerio partner destination, viaVerio.com, to include greater community interaction and navigation, in response to the desires expressed by existing partners.
The viaVerio partner program gives exclusive access to a variety of higher value online business services targeting the SMB market, including web hosting on a shared, virtual or managed dedicated server platform, online business services and applications, and e-commerce solutions. In addition, viaVerio partners receive volume discounts, private label opportunities, and technical sales and marketing support.

After several months of direct interviews with viaVerio partners, Verio garnered extensive qualitative and quantitative market research to help identify partners’ top needs related to the portal, and gather requests for future improvements. The resulting site delivers a product with simplified navigation and an expanded resource section, with private-label and co-brandable marketing and sales support materials, including whitepapers and sales sheets. Tutorials are more prominently displayed, and the site allows for increased online interaction among the partner community.
The new site addresses all solution provider audiences, ranging from those with little to no technical experience to tenured partners with advanced technical backgrounds and industry specific requirements. Verio will continue to expand on the viaVerio.com portal in future updates and enhancements.
For new partners there is a new viaVerio welcome area that includes a wealth of information on getting started. Designed to empower new partners with the tools and basic knowledge to get going, the welcome area provides an intuitive, un-intimidating environment to discover how the viaVerio program can help jumpstart their web services business.
In the welcome area, new partners will find all the information they need to get started, such as help for logging into their account for the first time, instructions on installing applications, and links and detailed explanations of how new partners can access their backroom – a control panel interface that allows partners to manage accounts.
There is also a general account maintenance area where partners have access to FAQ’s, getting started documentation, setting up email on VPS accounts, and other helpful material such as best practices in fighting spam and email marketing tips.
Existing partners will also benefit from this password-protected area of viaVerio.com, which contains an array of resources including white-labeled PDFs and marketing materials that partners can procure and use with their own customers, helpful webinars and tutorials, as well as the latest discount information. Other features include RSS capabilities that enable existing partners to signup for customized RSS feeds alerting them when content has been updated on viaVerio.com. Partners can also take advantage of the RSS feeds to receive XML updates for use in updating their own sites. For example, when Verio updates new products, partners can copy the XML feeds and then upload and apply them to their own site’s product information.
