Fayetteville, North Carolina – (The Hosting News) – December 22, 2005 – North Carolina web hosting provider, AIT, has introduced two multi-server offerings it terms, ‘business-in-a-rack’. The company is bundling multiple dedicated servers, with each designed to handle specific functions of a business, such as e-mail, applications, or databases.
According to Clarence Briggs, CEO of AIT, These plans provide as many of the key pieces of an operation as possible in a single, cost-effective package. We’re offering a complex-style solution without the complexity, or the price tag.”
AIT’s ‘Six Paks’ are ‘chilled’ in the company’s 25,000 square foot data center, and are available in two configurations.
2 Application Servers
2 Database Servers
2 Web Servers
1 Web Server
1 Application Server
1 DB Server
1 Firewall Server
1 E-mail Server
1 Hot Spare
Collectively, the Intel-powered servers create a mini-infrastructure with 12 IP addresses, full root access, expansive disk space and bandwidth, and the ability to host an unlimited number of domains and sub-domains. The Six-Pak concept was created in response to the growing reliance on IT for improving business efficiency.
Mr. Briggs added, ”Many of our customers add components to help their operations, and we realized there had to be a better way of doing that than the piece meal approach. This is that better way, particularly for companies that rely on secure, stable IT systems for operations. We just ask that you use the ‘Six-Pak’ responsibly.”
