Web hosting company, Liquid Web, has opened a 32,000 square foot data center facility. DC2, is located in Lansing, Michigan and provided with Tier1 bandwidth from AT and T, MCI and Savvis Communications.
According to the company, DC2 has been designed with complete redundancy enabling maximum reliability and up-time. DC2 will be home to nearly 8,000 web servers and will make Liquid Web one of the largest consumers of bandwidth in the greater Lansing area.
Liquid Web chose HostingCon2006 to announce the opening of DC2, due to its targeted global audience of demanding hosting professionals. Matthew Hill, CEO of Liquid Web Inc. explained, ”HostingCon was the perfect place to announce our newest Data Center because it attracts a very specialized group of companies that demand complete reliability from a Data Center provider. With the opening of DC2, Liquid Web will continue to focus on quality Managed Hosting services for its Shared, Dedicated and Virtual Private Server (VPS) products.
