MaximumASP has announced that Microsoft’s SQL Reporting Services are now being offered at no additional cost to all customers using SQL databases on MaximumASP’s servers. SQL Reporting Services (RS) is an add-in to the SQL Server 2000 product offered by Microsoft which allows the user to create, run, and view reports programmatically. RS comes with a variety of client tools that integrate with Visual Studio.NET to give the user a common design environment for creating reports for use with the RS engine.
As one of the first web hosting companies to offer Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, MaximumASP has again displayed an ongoing dedication to making the most innovative products available to the customer as they come to market. RS is a powerful new product in that it provides a comprehensive, server-based solution that enables the creation, management, and delivery of both traditional, paper-oriented reports and interactive Web-based reports.
According to Chris Page, CTIO, “SQL Reporting Services is an amazing tool that developers have been requesting for years. Our inclusion of this new functionality further enhances our SQL server offerings; with more that 80% of our customers using SQL to drive their web applications, Reporting Services is a must-have feature.”
As an integrated part of the Microsoft business intelligence framework, RS combines the data management capabilities of SQL Server and Microsoft Windows Server with the familiar and powerful Microsoft Office System applications, to deliver real-time information to support daily operations and drive decisions.
MaximumASP currently hosts over 25,000 domains for customers in over 40 countries. With a strong focus on hosting solutions that combine advanced monitoring and management tools, MaximumASP has become a top choice for Microsoft developers seeking a robust hosting platform for mission-critical web applications.
In 2000, MaximumASP developed an entirely new niche in the hosting industry by being the first hosting company to offer a product that filled the void between virtual / shared hosting and dedicated hosting. The Windows Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting platform leverages the latest Microsoft Windows software to allow a web server to be partitioned into separate and distinct sections, with each providing a predetermined set of allocated resources, software, and security. This level of isolation allows clients to develop and host web applications in a stable environment that keeps errant applications from degrading overall server performance.
In addition to the VPS hosting platforms, MaximumASP also offers Dedicated Servers solutions utilizing the latest in rack-optimized Dell server technology. All dedicated servers are located within an IBM and Microsoft-certified data center. In addition to hardware and operating system support, MaximumASP also includes server and basic service monitoring with each dedicated server offered.
