San Francisco, California
– (The Hosting News) – April 2, 2007 –
Developer and operator of data center, 365 Main CEO, Chris Dolan, will be featured at the Interop Las Vegas 2007, to take place on May 20-25 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
Mr. Dolan will address an audience of CIOs, IT directors and other technology executives in a session called Ensuring Data Center Reliability for Mission-Critical — and Mission Impossible — Applications. Mr. Dolan will co-present with Derek Wise, president and CEO of managed services provider Global Netoptex (GNi), which has been a 365 Main customer since 2003. Together they will discuss the data center infrastructure required for modern, large-scale server deployments, where power, scalability and network connectivity are growing concerns.
The session will be part of the Data Center Summit arm of Interop Las Vegas 2007, a two-day educational event that organizers describe as “a forum to present innovative solutions in technology, operations and organizational structures.†Topics to be addressed at this year’s Data Center Summit include:
·   Benefits of server, storage and security virtualization
·   How to avoid the pitfalls of license-sprawl, learn how to manage consolidation and resource balancing, and find out which management tools can assist in virtualization and management of dynamic resources
·   Best practices in operations and organizational structures including industry standards such as ITIL and CMMI
·   How to change IT operations from the “device level†to the “business service management†level
·   How to optimize the use of existing data center facilities and increase availability
·   Blade servers, SAN, MAID and how to choose between high-density and high-footprint
·   Liquid-cooling, raised-floor, hot-cold aisles and other approaches to tame the “weather†in the data centerÂ
·   How to avoid costly mistakes from planning through implementation
Andreas Antonopoulos, Co-chair of Interop’s Data Center Summit and Senior Vice President and Founding Partner of Nemertes Research remarked, “This event is an ideal opportunity for IT executives to learn from data center experts how best to manage an increasingly complex computing environment. We expect this session to be extremely well-received by our attendees, and we are very much looking forward to it.â€
Mr. Dolan continued,
“As a leading developer and operator of national modern data centers, we’re always proud to share our experience. In our session we’ll discuss everything that needs to be done to ensure that your data center is up and running at all times and in all conditions, no matter what.†Mr.
Dolan and Mr. Wise’s session will take place on Monday, May 21 at 8:30 a.m.
