Web Hosting Firm, DiscountASP.NET, Deploys SmarterMail API to Open Control Panel

Pasadena, California - (The Hosting News) - February 7, 2008 - ASP.net hosting and SQL hosting provider, DiscountASP.NET, has debuted the integration of SmarterMail API, into its open control panel framework, to provide customers with the ability to develop web, desktop, or mobile applications that interface directly with the web hosting account.

With the SmarterMail API integration, DiscountASP.NET customers can now retrieve email account lists, modify passwords, and create/delete email accounts through web services without accessing the hosting control panel or the SmarterMail webmail client. DiscountASP.NET customers can activate access to the API library via their control panel and are assigned a unique Authentication Key. In addition, a Sandbox Key is provided so customers can test their applications without the risk of making changes to their hosting account.
