Interland (Nasdaq: INLD), a leading provider of online sales and
marketing services for small and medium-sized businesses, has received
a 2005 Small Business Computing Excellence in Technology Award in the
e-commerce group from the users of SmallBusinessComputing.com, an
informational site operated by JupiterWeb, a division of Jupitermedia
Corporation (Nasdaq: JUPM).
In late 2004 readers of SmallBusinessComputing.com, a leading online
information resource designed specifically for Internet and IT
professionals dedicated to providing technology solutions for small
businesses, voted on the best products in 24 categories. Interland
ranked #1 in the site-hosting category for its popular line of Web-site
creation and marketing offerings.
“Small businesses turned out in force to tell us who’s earning their
trust and dollars,” said Dan Muse, executive editor of internet.com’s
Small Business Channel. “Small businesses have never had so many
products from which to choose. No more getting by with less power,
sacrificing features for price or trying to adapt big-business products
to smaller, but equally demanding, business.
The article announcing the winners recognized Interland’s product depth
in helping small-business owners design, host and maintain a Web
presence at an affordable price. The editors went on to say that
today’s small businesses are looking for more than a hosting provider.
They want service providers to help them profit from using online
marketing tools and services.
Since first launching easy site-building tools for businesses in 2002,
Interland has fueled this trend and continues to pioneer the delivery
of online sales and marketing services to small and medium-sized
businesses. Interland offerings like MyEzClicks(tm), a suite of paid
search advertising packages for small businesses, and Websites Built to
Order are examples of how the company is helping small businesses find,
convert and communicate with customers – delivering on the promise of
the Internet as the new marketing channel.
“This is a great honor for all of us at Interland,” said Denise Grey,
vice president of marketing and channel sales for Interland. “To have
small businesses give us this kind of endorsement validates that we are
bringing to market the online tools and services business owners need
to immediately capitalize on the Internet.”
