DedicatedCentral, a dedicated hosting services provider, and Qualys,
Inc., the leading provider of on-demand vulnerability management
solutions, today announced DedicatedCentral has selected QualysGuard as
the foundation of its new PowerScan vulnerability management offering.
DedicatedCentral recently introduced the PowerScan offering to provide
its customers with the assurance that their business will not be
disrupted due to security breaches.
“Many companies we talk to have suffered significant revenue and data
losses due to security breaches but don’t have the resources for large
network security investments,” said Ho Lee, general manager of
DedicatedCentral. “They want automated, easy-to-use security solutions
that will protect their assets and better prepare them for the future,”
The new PowerScan service from DedicatedCentral helps customers
determine the adequacy of their security measures, find and fix
vulnerabilities that could be exploited, and verify that security
“fixes” have been accurately implemented.
“We aim to be the premier dedicated server provider to mid-sized and
small enterprises,” said Lee. “Our aggressive hardware and bandwidth
pricing, coupled with our focus on providing the maximum server and
data protection available, provides our customers with the full range
of security services they need to protect their online business.”
DedicatedCentral evaluated a number of vendors and solutions before
choosing QualysGuard as an ideal fit for its new service. When compared
to the competition, DedicatedCentral found QualysGuard’s on demand
service model was more accurate, flexible and user-friendly than most
software-based alternatives, and it enabled a higher degree of
customization through its Application Programming Interface (API).
