News: Web Hosting R1Soft Software Provider Partner Program, Welcomes WpWeb
News
Houston, Texas - (The Hosting News) - August 27, 2008 - Developer of near-continuous data protection products for Linux and Windows, R1Soft, has welcomed integrated Internet solutions and media development company, WpWeb S.r.l, into its Hosting Partner Program.

WpWeb S.r.l will offer the software maker's next-generation Continuous Data Protection (CDP) solution as a premium add-on to its hosting services.

Davide Miccone, CEO of WpWeb noted, ''R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection® provides our clients with a cost effective, robust solution to protect their data. With this technology, our clients have the peace of mind knowing in the event of a disaster or accidental data loss, they will have immediate access to a comprehensive, timely restore point. When data is mission-critical, it is imperative to have a backup that works.''

With Continuous Data Protection, WpWeb offers businesses round-the-clock, disk-based data backups on both Windows and Linux platforms. WpWeb will offer CDP to colocation clients as a complete backup solution, allowing them to back up entire servers with restore point intervals of just minutes. Shared hosting customers can even take advantage of CDP through a special interface in their Parallels H-Sphere control panel.

WpWeb is also leveraging CDP to offer an in-office data protection solution for businesses. With the service, businesses have the ability to store and manage restore points internally without relying on a remote server.

As a member of the R1Soft Hosting Partner Program, WpWeb gains access to a plethora of R1Soft sales and marketing resources, as well as priority technical support and first-access to new software updates. R1Soft also works with partners to develop their data protection services and maximize sales.

David Wartell, Vice President, R1Soft division, BBS Technologies, Inc. remarked, ''We are looking forward to working with WpWeb as it implements our innovative data protection technology for businesses in Europe. A key strength of CDP is its scalability and flexibility, and WpWeb has leveraged its wide variety of partnerships and services to offer world-class data protection services powered by CDP.''

Since 1997, WpWeb has been a leading provider of Internet solutions, including hosting, colocation, connectivity, Web-based e-commerce software and business consulting services for B2B, B2C and B2E solutions for the European market. It hosts more than 4000 small to medium sized businesses in its datacenter facility.

Founded in 2003, R1Soft is a provider of disk-based backup solutions. The company's customer list includes some of the world's largest hosting providers. R1soft products provide Continuous Data Protection (CDP) for over 85,000 mission-critical Linux and Windows servers worldwide. In November, 2007 R1Soft was acquired by BBS Technologies, Inc.
