Web Hosting Services Firm, AT&T, Attains Homeland Security Contract
Vienna, Virginia – (The Hosting News) – May 29, 2008 – Web hosting provider, Internet services and ISP company, AT and T Inc.’s government solutions division, has
garnered a $292 million contract with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Serving as the secondary network service provider in the Eastern and Western regions for OneNet, an advanced, next-generation network, AT and T Government Solutions will utilize its 4,000 employees to support the federal government. OneNet will consolidate seven legacy Wide Area Networks (WANs) into one secure Internet Protocol (IP) network infrastructure that will facilitate the future convergence of IP and wireless while driving data sharing across all components of DHS.
