San Diego, California - (The Hosting News) - January 12, 2007 - Web host and Internet solutions provider, Aplus.Net,
will relocate its headquarters from San Diego to Kansas in February, while premiering its new lineup of senior and executive management.
Gabriel C. Murphy has taken over Chief Executive Officer duties, with Ryan Elledge taking on the role of Chief Operations Officer. Mr. Murphy and Mr. Elledge bring to Aplus.Net extensive web hosting experience from CommuniTech.Net, a Kansas-based web hosting firm that was co-founded by Mr. Murphy. At the time of its acquisition by Interland in 2002, CommuniTech.Net was regarded as one of the nation’s most profitable hosting firms, with 16 consecutive quarters of revenue growth and profitability.
The changes are designed to bring a more dynamic leadership team to Aplus.Net as it enters a new growth stage, while improving its ability to exceed the needs and expectations of its more than 200,000 customers. Aplus.Net’s focus will remain on small businesses, helping them to build an online customer base using a comprehensive range of services that include web hosting, web design, dedicated servers, online marketing, e-commerce, domain name registration, among other services.
Russell Gilman, previously General Manager of Aplus.Net’s support department, has been named the Senior Vice President of Customer Care. Mr. Clarke Caines will remain in his role as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, and Matthew O’Neill will continue to serve as Vice President of Business Affairs. In addition, Aplus.Net has brought Nicholas Gaugler, also with CommuniTech.Net experience, on board to serve as Vice President of Development. Rounding out the senior management team are Aplus.Net veterans Sneharthi Roy as Vice President of the Dedicated Server Business Unit and Michael Howard as Vice President of Accounting and Finance.
Mr. Murphy explained, “We’ve taken important and well-considered steps to ensure that the best possible management is in place to take us into Aplus.Net’s next phase. Much of the talent on board we’ve retained from Aplus.Net’s previous formation, with a few notable additions and promotions. All changes have been made in the interest in making Aplus.Net the most viable and long-lasting company it can be. And, as before, Aplus.Net’s priority is to meet and exceed the expectations of our valued customers in every way possible.”
