iNET Interactive a leading new media technology content publisher announced today it has acquired HostVoice a popular site for those seeking web hosting to receive competitive quotes from web hosting companies. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
HostVoice allows web hosting companies to receive screened and qualified leads from people seeking web hosting services who complete a brief form indicating their needs either on HostVoice or one of its partner websites. Upon receipt of a new request for quote by the HostVoice proprietary system, the lead is sent to hosts who have subscribed to receive them. The individual or company who is seeking web hosting then receives up to eight different options from eight different hosting providers, and allows them to select the most suited plan for their needs.
HostVoice was founded in September of 2003 by MordComm, Inc. The site processes thousands of leads per month in six categories: Unix, Windows, Reseller Hosting, E-Commerce Hosting, Dedicated Servers, and Colocation.
“We are extremely excited about adding HostVoice to our ever-expanding portfolio of sites,” commented Ryan Elledge, President of iNET Interactive. “We have numerous sites about web hosting, but we did not have one that really targeted connecting those seeking hosting to those who provide it. We look for great things to come from HostVoice.”
Boris Mordkovich, Director of Operations of MordComm, Inc., the founding company of HostVoice, stated: “Based on iNET Interactive’s track record and their business approach, I believe that they’ll be able to fuel HostVoice’s growth and establish it as the leading hosting portal in the industry. Our advertisers and users will truly benefit from a myriad of resources and experiences the iNET team will bring to the table.”
Elledge indicated that no significant changes are planned for the successful and growing site. “We believe that Boris and Eugene had great insight into how to make the site successful. With their desire to move in a new direction with MordComm, Inc.’s new ventures – AdWatcher.com and other projects, we felt we could help grow the site by utilizing our existing network traffic to generate more quality leads for web hosting companies. When the ideal match is made between a web-hoster and a web hosting company, it is a win-win situation for all.”
iNET’s acquisition of HostVoice is the first acquisition by the company in 2004 but signals the beginning of a new period for iNET Interactive.
“We have grown most of our sites to the point we wanted to, and now it is time to continue growing iNET. I would forsee some new and exciting properties, maybe in new verticals, being added to iNET in the months to come,” Elledge concluded.
