Atlanta, Georgia – (The Hosting News) – March 6, 2006 – Website hosting provider, Interland, and Windows web hosting inventors, Microsoft, have announced a collaboration to market Microsoft solutions through Interland hosting services.
Interland, (which will soon change its operations over into Web.com, Inc.) indicated that Microsoft will be its preferred platform for delivering hosted services.
According to Pascal Martin, General Manager, Worldwide Hosting at Microsoft Corp., ”Small and medium-sized businesses are increasingly turning to hosted solutions to solve their business needs. Microsoft is committed to helping hosting providers such as Interland meet that demand by providing enterprise-class hosted solutions that are easily deployed and managed, and provide the opportunity for increased revenue per user.”
The partnership includes a co-marketing arrangement through which Microsoft and Interland will partner to offer services to customers through major channel partners. The strategic marketing agreement will create a mutually beneficial relationship between the two companies as business development, marketing and sales opportunities are explored both within Microsoft and with its industry partners.
Jeff Stibel, President and CEO of Interland commented on the new Microsoft relationship, ”We are excited to forge a partnership with Microsoft. Microsoft’s hosted products and services on the Windows platform provide customers with operational benefits that enable them to easily produce cost effective websites.
