Xilinx Awards AT&T Managed Web Hosting Solution Contract From AT&T Wins Managed

AT&T announced today that Xilinx Inc., the worldwide leader in
programmable logic devices, has awarded AT&T a three-year, $1.4
million contract to host and manage the company’s Web site, www.xilinx.com.

The AT&T hosting solution will provide visitors to the Xilinx Web
site faster page loads as well as enhanced flexibility and security.
The site includes an online store and offers visitors a variety of
options, including signing up for educational courses, accessing online
support services, searching online software manuals and user guides,
and reviewing information on Xilinx products and services.

“At Xilinx we rely on AT&T’s expertise in managed services to allow
us to respond quickly to the ever-changing demands of running an
Internet site,” said Gerry Glaser, IT Specialist at Xilinx. “Leveraging
their knowledge in networks, security, operations, and applications
makes it is possible for us to adopt best practices more rapidly
helping us to succeed in the marketplace.”

The contract expands an existing agreement in which AT&T has
provided Xilinx with a full suite of voice and data services for the
past eight years.

Technology Integration Group (TIG), an AT&T Alliance Channel agent,
assisted in closing the deal. TIG is involved in managing all aspects
of Xilinx’s hosting environment, including security and storage,
information databases, and applications and infrastructure associated
with the Web site in AT&T’s Arizona Internet Data Center (IDC).
AT&T owns and operates 26 IDCs around the world. Alliance Channel
agents complement and enhance AT&T’s capabilities with specialized
skills in network design and deployment, applications integration and
communications equipment expertise.
