(The Hosting News) – CloudSwing, a PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) by open source solution company OpenLogic has been integrated into Rackspace Hosting’s cloud platform, making the solution available to deploy by Rackspace users.
The PaaS allows features such as application and spending monitoring, stack management, customization, and more.
Discussing the matter in a press release, OpenLogic Senior VP of Marketing Kim Weins stated, “We are excited to expand OpenLogic CloudSwing’s momentum to the Rackspace Cloud customer ecosystem.”
“CloudSwing has more than tripled the number of users in the first 60 days. As enterprises look to build customized PaaS environments in the Rackspace Cloud, we anticipate this growth to continue,” Weins continued.
As a company, OpenLogic provides users with 30 free hours of CloudSwing on both Rackspace’s cloud and Amazon EC2.
Meanwhile, Rackspace Senior Manager of Strategy and Corporate Development Ven Shanmugam stated, “The Rackspace Cloud and CloudSwing are both built to handle the highly-flexible and on-demand environments that enterprises need to deploy in the cloud.”
“We welcome OpenLogic into our Cloud Tools community,” Shanmugam continued.
Rackspace’s cloud has more than 110 thousand customers, according to the company’s website.
OpenLogic initially announced the availability of CloudSwing in late October. The company’s others offerings include support for open source systems such as MySQL and CentOS, scanning and compliance, and an SaaS solution.
