(The Hosting News) – Popular cloud IaaS solution OpenStack is gaining powerful backing from Linux OS-operator Redhat. The company has announced its intention to release an Enterprise-based commercial version of the solution.
For those ready to see what it looks like now, Red Hat also unveiled the availability of a downloadable preview version, helping provide the company with vital feedback before the solution eventually reaches commercial release.
“It’s a preview, so it’s still a little rough around the edges,” admitted the company via its website.
If you’re interested in downloading the platform, you’re required to be operating a system on Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 6.3 or newer. “We’ve been working in the OpenStack community for a while now and can see its potential. Our focus has been around making OpenStack a great product for enterprises to use. Just like we did with Linux,” said Red Hat.
OpenStack technology provides IT administrators with tech functions including networking, computing and storage via shared data center servers. User can operate and control the solution via OpenStack dashboards.
