(The Hosting News) – Privately hosted clouds should soon see a boost. On Friday, cloud solutions provider Enteracloud revealed that it was partnering up with a pretty large provider, Time Warner Cable.
The two will work with Enteracloud and they’re focusing on one particular area: Enterprise customers and small businesses.
Intended for customers in Southern California, the companies will provide customized cloud solutions. Specifically, Enteracloud says it will use its cloud solutions along with “fiber interconnection services” from Time Warner Cable.
Commenting on the matter in a press release, Enteracloud CTO Tim Doscher stated, “We are very excited to announce our partnership with Time Warner Cable to deliver an enterprise class private hosted cloud offering that only a provider with such a high concentration of fiber connectivity to Southern California can provide.”
“This partnership presents an ideal solution for small businesses, small businesses and enterprises seeking faster and simpler ways to build premium, customized private clouds that maximize business value in the locations where they need them to be. As the cloud market continues to mature and more organizations look to strategically build and position clouds throughout the Southern California market, Time Warner offers the reliability of a high speed fiber network,” he continued.
Aside from its cloud solutions, Enteracloud provides services such as virtualization, IaaS, data center colocation, and more.
Meanwhile, Time Warner Cable’s Greg Wisniewski discussed the deal, saying “Time Warner Cable is working with Enteracloud to further advance our goal to become the destination for cloud enablement for our customers.”
Earlier this year in July, Enteracloud announced that it would be expanding its San Diego data center facility. The company has other data centers located in Los Angeles and Phoenix. For more information on Enteracloud, visit: http://www.enteracloud.com/
