(The Hosting News) – Data center provider Q9 on Thursday noted it had initiated a significant facility expansion in Calgary, a city in the Canadian Province of Alberta.
“We have been proudly serving the data centre needs of Albertans since 2002,” commented Q9 CEO Osama Arafat via a press release.
Arafat continued, “In that year, we opened our first facility and we’ve been building in Calgary ever since. Today’s announcement demonstrates our continued success and ongoing commitment to meeting the growing needs of our many blue chip customers in Western Canada.”
The move arrives as part of a $425 million investment from the tech provider – $190 million of which was spent in the Western Canada area.
