The microwave came to life in 1931 when someone decided to use radiation to heat up food, but since then, the technology has enhanced to something much better. They are much more advanced these days in heating up meals, displaying the time, and offering options through different buttons. You won’t find many American homes without this classic meal cooking solution.
Video games have gone from a popular toy to a competitive hobby for many. The original video game was invented in the 1940’s and became more popular in the 1970’s. It was once just played as an arcade game and eventually became computer games that would be found in homes. They have developed so much in the last forty years from Nintendo’s to Xbox and Play Stations.
Everybody loves their TV but it wouldn’t quite be the same without a television remote to scan the channels with as you enjoy a show from your couch. The remote was created in 1950 which means that many people living today knew a time before the remote.
People had to get up and change the channel on the actual TV before the remote which usually looked like a dial on the box. Today, people enjoy over 800 different channels with various features liked closed captioning, mute, volume adjustment, and channel adjustment.
Your smart phone looks nothing like the original mobile phones that came out in the 1940’s. It’s hard to remember the time of the first mobile phones but the original ones looked more like today’s “house phone” as a bulky and heavy device. Since then, the device has enhanced to become sleeker, thinner, lighter in weight, and has evolved from a simple telephone to a device that allows you to send messages via text and access the internet.
