ISP Cox recently moved for a dismissal on a case they are involved in related to copyright infringement. The piracy tracking company Rightscorp had destroyed the code used to find evidence for Round Hill Music and BMG. They claim they had proof of criminal activity.
In November of 2014, BMG and Round Hill Music claimed Rightscorp had caught Cox ignoring piracy from certain users. They believed Cox had lost their eligibility for DMCA safe harbor protection and were liable in the suit.
