(The Hosting News) – Dell has launched a new Solution Center in Shanghai, China. The news was revealed when Dell Regional Director Man Wei Lee made a post on the company’s Direct2Dell blog detailing the center’s July 28th launch.
In an April press release detailing the solution centers, Dell stated, “At the Global Solution Centers, Dell experts work with customers to help them make better use of their technology budgets so they can invest less on managing their infrastructure and more on technology innovation to grow their business.”
The new center is just part of a larger bid that Dell is making into cloud computing. In April the company announced a one billion dollar investment into technology solutions. With the plan, Dell is also building cloud data centers that provide both public and private cloud computing.
Lee stated that things discussed at the center’s opening included “the challenges CIOs face today, and how we are committed to providing solutions for our customers that address their business needs, improve IT efficiency and achieve the best return on their investment.”
The center represents the company’s first of its kind in the Asia Pacific region.
Meanwhile Dell has moved forward with its center expansion by recently launching facilities in Limerick, Austin, and Singapore.
