Traditional software companies are reacting to a sustained rise in requests for products on a subscription basis, and this is driving forward SaaS hosting adoption.

A recent report by Gartner has suggested that global SaaS revenue will exceed £5.5 billion in 2010, as demand for online applications increases. SaaS revenue was 10% of the overall managed hosting market in 2009 but is predicted to rise to 16% by the end of 2010.
