(The Hosting News) – A Las Vegas data center now belongs to hosting provider ViaWest. On Monday, the company announced that it acquired the facility from CoreLink, a company with other facilities located in Chicago, Phoenix and Seattle.
Discussing the matter in a press release, ViaWest CEO Roy Dimoff praised the company he was working with to make the transaction possible. “CoreLink’s commitment to customer support and providing customized IT infrastructure solutions aligns closely with the ViaWest mission,” Dimoff commented.
Dimoff went on the say that the move benefits his company’s goal to be “a premier technology infrastructure provider in the region.”
Solutions from ViaWest include cloud, hosting, managed services and colocation.
Aside from simply acquiring the facility, the move means a significant expansion for ViaWest. The transaction will add to a data center infrastructure that already includes locations in Portland, Austin, Denver, Dallas and Salt Lake City.
The data center provider signaled in May its intention to build a 110 square foot Las Vegas data center featuring cooling technology designed for green efficiency.
