(The Hosting News) – Hosting provider ViaWest on Thursday unveiled a new position within its company: Chief Operating Officer.
Bob Newman will assume the post, becoming responsible for operations related to management of data center infrastructure, security, compliance and service delivery, among others.
The new COO is a company veteran, having initially served in the capacity of Senior VP of Service Delivery with the provider since 2010.
Discussing the matter in a press release, Newman appeared thankful for the appointment. “This group goes above and beyond for our customers on a day-to-day basis. 2012 was a standout year for the company, with growth across each of our regions and significant additions to our product portfolio. Building on ViaWest’s strong foundation, 2013 will be a year of continued momentum and growth,” he remarked.
ViaWest’s solutions pertain to cloud, managed hosting and colocation.
