(The Hosting News) – SSL certificate provider GlobalSign will be offering a webinar regarding the task of offering SSL certificates amid the shortage of IPv4 addresses.
The event will take place on Tuesday, October 22nd at 1:00 PM EST and will be presented by GlobalSign Business Development Director Paul van Brouwershaven.
“As the internet community faces a shortage of IPv4 addresses, hosting companies are feeling the increasing cost of managing individual IP addresses,” explained GlobalSign via its event webpage.
GlobalSign also pointed to increasing demand for both encryption and SSL, noting many SSL providers were asking, “How can I continue to offer SSL while avoiding increased cost?”
“GlobalSign has developed a revolutionary method to host multiple SSL on a single IP using Server Name Indication (SNI) technology in combination with GlobalSign’s CloudSSL,” stated GlobalSign.
During the webinar, GlobalSign will discuss things like how to increase margins on SSL, how to save costs by using less IP addresses for SSL, what to expect from the IPv4 shortage and how businesses can be proactive when it comes to IPs.
