WestHost will keep the Intel Atom D510 server, but will now offer it at the lower price of $95.00 / month.
The newly offered managed dedicated servers will also feature Ksplice, an application that allows important kernel security updates from CentOs/Red Hat Linux, to be performed without having to reboot the server. This means increased uptimes and faster security updates. Ksplice will come free with the full management option.
The improvements to the dedicated servers are part of the many upgrades that WestHost has made to their services in the last few months. Their recent website relaunch saw improvements to their shared hosting and cloud hosting, while lowering prices on existing hosting plans.
