(The Hosting News) – WiredTree, a market-leader in managed Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting, managed dedicated servers and hybrid server solutions, announced today that it has been featured in Inc. Magazine’s INC500 list for 2011. The INC500 list profiles 500 privately held USA-based companies based on growth in revenue. WiredTree has been ranked 254th overall and 11th in Chicago, representing the rapid development of the successful hosting business.
“We are incredibly proud to have made this year’s INC500 list,” says Zac Cogswell, President of WiredTree. “The highly qualified experts from this well-established publication have analyzed the growth of companies across a three year period and determined that we are one of the most successful. Best of all, this list is not limited to organizations within the IT sector – we have been identified as one of the most successful companies in the entire United States.”
The INC500 list is released annually and was created to identify companies with patterns of growth and give them increased exposure right across the business world. Growth statistics are determined from overall revenue in fiscal 2007 and overall revenue in fiscal 2010, and expressed as a percentage growth. On average, the 500 organizations in this year’s INC500 list have an estimated growth of 1275%, with WiredTree’s own growth being very close to this at 1257%. This represents a significant increase in revenue for WiredTree, from around $300,000 in 2007 to more than $4 million last year. WiredTree’s seemingly exponential growth has come as a result of the hosting company’s continued delivery of high-quality managed hosting, while maintaining customer service levels and reducing customer churn.
“When we think about what has made WiredTree grow so quickly, we compare ourselves to other managed dedicated server or managed VPS hosting providers,” says Cogswell. “Since we were founded in 2006, we have consistently delivered high quality hardware, on a redundant and dependable network, with customer care and technical support that is always available, 24/7/365. That’s why customers are drawn to us, that’s why they have remained with us, and that’s why more and more people are switching to WiredTree every day.”
While WiredTree has managed to achieve a remarkable position within the US, the impact of this recent accolade on future growth is highly dependent on the hosting company’s performance in the IT Services industry specifically. Of more than 40 IT Service organizations featured in the INC500 this year, WiredTree is ranked 20th. This clearly identifies the company as a key figure in the hosting and IT industries, and is sure to act as a vital promotional tool to attract new customers in the future. Previous companies to have gained exposure from Inc. Magazine’s Top 500 list include Microsoft and Oracle – WiredTree’s Cogswell hopes to follow in their footsteps by continuing to strive for outstanding growth.
“Of course, this accolade is important to us,” says Cogswell. “But WiredTree is a company that’s built its reputation on continued development, from regularly upgrading our dedicated server hardware to increasing our managed hosting support staff. We don’t look at our INC500 listing as an excuse to get comfortable – it’s an opportunity to boost our progression and to make our growth over the next 3 years even more impressive.”
With this new appearance on the INC500 listing, WiredTree can be proud that it has quickly evolved to be a true market leader in the US IT services industry. However, with the company’s emphasis on forward momentum at the heart of their vision, there is no doubt that this prestigious recognition will be the first of many exciting steps in WiredTree’s long-term evolution.
The 2011 INC500 list will be published in full in the September issue of Inc. Magazine, available on newstands from August 23 to November 15.
